Abstract: The fad of online dating is now approaching its judgement; does it work or not? You spend weeks to months emailing this person who’s picture and crafted bio appealed to you, and yours was lucky enough to garner a response. What people have been finding, much to their dismay, is that a lot of the time, these web-people are not as exciting as they seem. Who knew.

What a few dating website are doing now, are creating situations in real life in which their members can meet. Typically at cafes or bars or a similar location. How is this different than picking someone up without the online service you ask? This is their response: The website gathers people based on their algorithms and assumes that these people are looking for romance rather than to be creepy. So far, people are realizing that personality tests and algorithms are maybe not working.
