Abstract: This project called “A Liter of Light” helps bring natural light in to the homes of many families in the Philippines who do not have another way lighting their dark homes in the day due the closeness of their homes, not allowing light inside their homes. They families have electricity, but the cost would be too high to use the electricity to utilize them, so the people of these towns go without light indoors, they spend most of their time outside, which is what most of us should do. This article is a great example of how a small plastic bottle, which plagues our planet, can be repurposed and utilized to help people. As small as this idea might be, communities across the Philippines can now enjoy indoor lighting without using electricity.
